WATCH | Deputy Commissioner at Competition Commission talks on banks accused of currency tampering

 

JOHANNESBURG - There could be further action taken against banks accused of manipulating the Rand's value.

The Competition Commission is reportedly looking into whether criminal charges can be brought against those financial institutions.

Standard Chartered Bank has already admitted to being involved and has agreed to pay a R42m fine.
