WATCH | SA's Economy | Is the promise of a 'new dawn' fizzling out?

 

NEW YORK, USA - President Cyril Ramaphosa risks losing an opportunity to leave a shining legacy of his economic policies, if he continues being as slow as he currently is to implement things. 

That's the view of political analyst Justice Malala.

He says the dream of an economic "new dawn" under Ramaphosa is fast dissipating.

Economic growth under Ramaphosa's presidency has been the lowest of all four democratic presidents, averaging a mere 0.5% in his first term.
