JOHANNESBURG - The Information Regulator issues compliance notices to the Independent Electoral Commission, social media App WhatsApp, Lancet Laboratories and the Blouberg Local Municipality. The Regulator says the four could have breached the Protection of Personal Information Act.
The Information Regulator is concerned about increased security breaches of personal data in private and public organisations and has received 980 security compromise notifications since April this year.
