JOHANNESBURG - One university protest is one too many, so says DA Students Organisation leader, Liam Jacobs.
He was part of a We The Nation debate on higher education, due to be aired on Thursday night at 8pm.
"There's a group of students that's being treated like stepchildren.

"But there's another group that we're missing and that is the missing middle," Jacobs said.
"Now you say that you have plans in place to ensure that the missing middle is accounted for. But at this present moment, there are students whose families have zero rand in their bank accounts at the end of the month as a result.
"And you celebrate the fact that only seven institutions are protesting and only one TVET is protesting. If there's a protest it means there's something fundamentally wrong with the way higher education is structured at this moment in time."
