Thabo Bester | What happens when Bester returns?

MANGAUNG - The Mangaung prison says it does not have a plan for what it will do should Thabo Bester return to the correctional facility.

Parliament's committee on correctional services is probing the circumstances around the escape.

Mangaung Correctional Centre's Joseph Monyante said, "at this stage we did not receive indication that Bester will return to our facility."

"It is solely mandate of controller on site. We do not have a plan to accommodate Bester."

"If he comes back, and it happens tomorrow, based on information, there's lots of processes to monitor him very close, watch his movements."
