SA’s electricity crisis | Outages obliterate small business

JOHANNESBURG - About 71 percent of small businesses have been badly affected by power cuts.

But government is working on relief packages to help them.

The Small Business Institute is welcoming the initiative.

SBI CEO John Dludlu says it's better late than never.

"The banks have moved, they have been the first movers," he says.

"The lesson that we learnt from government is that you cannot solve problems you don't understand," he adds.

Dludlu says people are frustrated and South Africans demand accountability.
