JOHANNESBURG - The Automobile Association is urging President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint someone with a strong personality to replace Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula.
The AA argues that the position requires a leader who will prioritise the needs of citizens, who desperately require safe, affordable and reliable transport.
Mbalula is set to leave the portfolio to concentrate on his new role as ANC Secretary General.
"At the end of the day we just want an SOE that is functional, efficient and works in the interest of citizens," said the AA's Layton Beard.
