Eskom suspends rolling blackouts until Sunday afternoon

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom says it will suspend power cuts from 10pm on Saturday until 5am on Sunday.

The utility says the move is due to lower-than-anticipated demand.

Stage 3 rolling blackouts will resume 4pm on Sunday until 5am on Monday.

Eskom says it will issue further updateson Sunday.

Saturday, 16 September:

Due to lower than anticipated demand, loadshedding will be suspended from 22:00 tonight.

Stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 16:00 on Sunday until 05:00 on Monday.
