Eskom announces Stage 1 blackouts until 4pm on Sunday

JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has announced stage 1 blackouts from today until 4pm on Sunday.

This is the result of consistent improvement in generation performance.

And a lower than anticipated electricity demand today.

The power utility says it will provide an update for the week ahead, tomorrow afternoon.
