At least 70 people were killed after heavy rains swept through the province, leaving thousands destitute.
Houses were destroyed and one person remains missing.
Clean-up operations are continuing in Durban and surrounding areas.
Millions of rands have been released by big corporates and government to assist families and with the rebuilding of infrastructure.
The floods caused damage worth over R650-million.
