Joburg businessman arrested for allegedly bribing City Power officials

JOHANNESBURG - A Johannesburg businessman, arrested for allegedly trying to bribe City Power Officials is expected to appear in court.

His business allegedly owes the utility about R3.4-million for unpaid electricity.

He was arrested on Monday after trying to bribe officials with R25,000. 

The 55-year-old was among many businessmen targeted by City Power for illegally connecting power to their premises.
