DURBAN - A decision has finally been made in the bail application of Jonas George Tsautse.

Tsautse is accused of murdering Durban socialite, Mluleki Mbewana.

He's been denied bail by the Durban magistrate's court.

This matter has been of high interest for many Durban residents who knew Mbewana.

Some of the reasons stated by the magistrate as to why bail has been denied are that Tsautse failed to prove where he resides, as the two addresses he provided indicate that he was renting those properties.

"As a family we have been scared. Ever since we found out that the man is dangerous and what he did actually shows that he is dangerous," said Mbewana's sister Sindiswa.

"I have been scared of him but since he has been denied bail I'm happy. It hasn't been easy," she said

"It's been hard coping without Mluleki. This has really affected us as a family."
