Discussion | Unresolved cases as 5 million dockets closed in 5 years

JOHANNESBURG - Over 5 million SAPS cases have been closed due to lack of evidence in the last five years.

This was revealed in a written reply by police minister Bheki Cele to a parliamentary question from DA MP Ockert Stefanus Terblanche.

There have been concerns of inadequate resources and capacity within the police service.
