JOHANNESBURG - A total of 17,000 police officers will be deployed in KwaZulu-Natal during this year's elections.
That's according to the provincial police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
He was speaking during the signing of the IEC's code of conduct by political parties.
KwaZulu-Natal is notorious for political killings.
"If you violate the law, if you break the law, ours is to enforce," he said.
