JOHANNESBURG - Business Unity South Africa (Busa) is heading to court in a bid to halt a planned shutdown on Friday.

Sasbo has threatened to take its members to the streets in protest against retrenchments.

Some banks, among them Standard Bank, has been downsizing to save costs and compete effectively in the digital space.

Busa representative Kaizer Moyane has claimed the unions have violated section 77 of the Labour Relations Act and has not engaged in negotiations at the National Economic Development and Labour Council (Nedlac) before deciding to embark on a strike.
