East Africa Bureau Chief, Robyn Kriel, holds degrees in broadcast journalism and musical theatre from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Robyn reports extensively on the region. Robyn is the recipient of numerous awards, including an Edward R. Murrow award for in-depth reporting and a David Burke award for Bravery in Journalism. In 2011 she was credited by Michelle Obama for her "courageous reporting from Zimbabwe."
