SA Mental Health Federation urges parents to be more vigilant

JOHANNESBURG - Suicide is the leading cause of death among teenagers.

The alleged suicide of four pupils from the same Gauteng high school within the space of 10 days has turned the spotlight on the issue.

Parents and guardians are urged to watch out for any worrying or suspicious behaviours.

Project Leader for Advocacy and Awareness at the SA Federation for Mental Health, Michel'le Donnelly says various reasons push young ones to take their lives.
