HARARE - Zimbabwe police are monitoring social media platforms for illegal exchanges of the ZiG currency.
Over 200 people were arrested in a month for illegally trading the money on the streets.
Police say they are working with central bank intelligence to monitor social media platforms like WhatsApp and Facebook to smoke out ZiG peddlers.
But economists warn that the crackdowns may not be the answer.
