Zambia opposition: Guy Scott is ‘stupidest white man’

Africa
May 4 – Pretoria has demanded an explanation from Lusaka over comments made by Zambia’s deputy president.  Guy Scott recently called South Africans backwards and said the country was ‘just too big and too unsubtle’.

Lusaka – Zambians have been commenting on the spat between their deputy president and South Africa.

Guy Scott recently called South Africans backwards and South African Parliament in Pretoria have demanded an explanation.

Zambian opposition leader Hakaimbe Hichilema's lashed out at Scott; calling him “the stupidest white man” he's met.

Ordinary Zambians, though, seem to be divided on the matter.

Zambia's foreign ministry said it wouldn’t comment for now and was reportedly reviewing the incident, and would issue a statement on Monday.
