Freedom Day | 'Films and television were used to mobilise people'

JOHANNESBURG - Democratic South Africa is 30-years old. 

There were many efforts to end apartheid and usher in freedom. 

One of those was the use of film and television to mobilise people into action. 

Movies such as Sarafina were then used to promote social cohesion. 

Legendary South African Filmmaker Anant Singh has been behind some of those productions. 

He joined us to discuss 30-years of freedom.
