Electricity Minister to give update on energy action plan

PRETORIA - Forty days and counting with no power outages -- the longest period we have consistently had electricity supply in recent years.

Electricity Minister Dr Kgosientsho Ramokgopa will update the country on the progress of the Energy Action Plan.

The reason for the good tidings, according to Eskom, is the strategy that's been put into place to restore the power utility.

He says planned maintenance through the summer months will ensure they are ready for winter.
