Suspected cable theft leaves Joburg areas in darkness

JOHANNESBURG - Residents in parts of Johannesburg will have to wait until the weekend before they have electricity again.

This after underground City Power cables caught alight after suspected cable theft.

City power spokesperson, Isaac Mangena, says technicians will only be able to assess the damage on Thursday.
